James (Jim) Hicks has worked in the plastics industry for 33 years. He’s been with Amoco/BP/Solvay for 30 years in a number of roles. He spent three years in mechanical testing labs—QC testing, R&D development testing. He also has seven years in R&D product development for Sulfone-based polymers (compounding, molding, and material testing responsibilities). Hicks spent the last 20 years in customer technical support and application development. His primary responsibilities include the support of Solvay’s Healthcare customers and providing part design reviews, processing support, material recommendations and failure analysis; as well as generating most of the Solvay healthcare market and material support data.
